Got LPs? How About Transferring Them to Digital Vinyl

For those wanting to have a little fun, Verbatim has issued "Digital Vinyl" CD-Rs. These 80 minute recordable CDs look like little 45's (if you were born after 1980, just use your imagination and realize that we used to listen to music played back from what amounted to a squished hockey puck.) Anyway, these retro CDs are really fun and make for a neat twist to the boring old CD-Rs that proliferate the marketplace. They come in 5 colors and make excellent CD-Rs for those looking to digitize their LPs onto CD (a topic that has come up on our forums quite frequently in the past.) The discs also come with a lifetime warranty from Verbatim.

I bought a couple packages of these about a year ago, and they do look pretty cool. Now I see they have the same thing in gold & platinum instead of black!

I found a similar product that's even cooler than these, though- they look the same as the Verbatim ones here but the center part is inkjet printable! Very cool as since I bought my Epson R300, all I use in printable CD-Rs & DVD-Rs.

They are a kind of a neat retro thing. If I had a lot of vinyl to transfer I would use them, I don't :D

They also make these cool film canister-looking DVD-Rs that I have as well... I'm a sucker for a cool-looking disc I guess. :)
