Good morning. Some were asking to let them know when I got the new Definitives and the Polk sub hooked up. Well, it was a chore, trying to hold up the 2s to get them mounted on the wall. I had to extend the wires about a foot with BUTT connectors to get to the terminals on the 2s. I wanted to hang them upside down but couldn't. Well, the right rear didn't work....of course. One of the BUTT connectors didn't crimp properly. That was fun taking it back off the wall and redoing. We looked like an Abbott and Costello act trying to get a new connector on the wire without removing the wires from the terminals again. But, now the GOOD part. With the Bose boxed up and ready for Ebay, I ran the system. It was sooo SWEET. All these years of our ears ringing, ended with one touch of the switch. Even the CAT paid attention when my wife insisted we watch KING KONG, to test it all out. The CAT was hilarious! When KONG roared, she raised her back up and watched in fear as if she was about to be dinner!! Never, EVER has that happened watching that movie. So even the cat approves. I'm still trying to tweek it. I have settings on my Yamaha HTR-5280 I didn't know existed. Can someone tell me under the Low Freq Testing if you can set up the cut off from the Sub and Main speakers separate. Instead of all speakers being set to 80hz? Like, having the sub at 80 and the mains and rears set to 140. Unless it doesn't work that way? I'm sorry this is long. Tried to make it shorter. Thank you for any input.

Thank you Bandphan. I saved those pages to my FAVORITES section. I do want to know if my Reciever separates the settings on the LOW FREQ Test, or combines them to the same setting as the Sub. I couldn't get the other speakers to set differently from the sub. They are all @80. But I have the mains and rears set to SMALL. There is no possible damage to them, is there, @80 along with the sub? I'm having a hard time explaining this understandably. I know just enough to get into trouble.

The LF Test Tone is just that, a test tone for adjusting speaker volume levels. According to the manual, all speakers set to small receive a 90+ Hz signal while those below are sent to the sub. This should work very well for the Mythos Twos.
