I was looking for a bluetooth speaker for the bathroom and came across the Google Home Hub. Anyone have any experience with it? I was wondering how the sound quality is and how loud it will get. It looks like it will be $100 on black Friday.

If all you need is a bluetooth speaker I'd probably find something with better audio. I've never used the google version, Im an Alexa guy but the sound quality is probably similar. Which is decent. If you wanna jump into home automation then seriously go for it. My entire house is pretty much connected to it now. I can turn on any light, any ceiling fan, the tv, the fireplace, the christmas tree, you name it. My wife has it setup with a shopping list so anyone in the house (and we have alexas in every room) can add anything to the shopping list and it shows up as a list on my wifes phone when she goes grocery shopping. She also loves timer feature in the kitchen. We also use it as an intercom system so anyone in any room can drop in and talk with someone in another room, or even make a house wide announcement like "dinners ready". I assume google can do all those things as well.

These things are pretty awesome for what they can do, but as a bluetooth speaker idk, we dont use them for that capacity.

Think I'll give it a shot. Home automation intrigues me. Who knows, this time next year I may be fully connected. I already have a HVAC & refrigerator that are connected.

Most if not all HVAC smart stats can be controlled via voice too which is pretty cool.
