I'm planning to purchase Usher S-520 soon and read that woofers bottom if you drive Usher S-520 too hard without a sub. What sub would be a good match for Usher S-520? I have JoLida 202(40W) tube amp.

I don't know anything about the amp but the Ushers are good speakers and just need a sub backing them that will handle everything below 80hz. Almost any sub will do that with ease as long as you size the subwoofer to the total volume of the room. How big of a room are we talking about?

14' x 12' room with 9' ceiling.
My amp does not have a sub out. I'm not sue if it's possible to make a connection to a sub.

If it fits your budget Hsu has their STF-2 on sale for $350. There are cheaper subs but I haven't heard Dayton, Lava or Bic's budget subs.

With most subs you can connect the speaker cables to the sub, and the connect the speakers to the sub and the sub's internal crossover will split the signal for you.
