Shure has a separate cable that can convert their earphones to control 'music enabled' phones. This might be worth a look. I know a lot of people really like their iems.

I like Etys, especially their isolation. However bass is not their strong point.
I've read some good things about the Klipsch x10s, but the i model with controls is $180 at amazon. The x10 at $90 might be worth it, but double for controls is hard to swallow.
