Good Room Humidifier?

Anybody have suggestions on a good one? Cold, dry winters make one or two a good idea for us, (bedroom and living room). All I know is there are "warm" and "cool" ones. Wife prefers "cool" type. Ease of cleaning and availability of filters seem to be considerations. I think we have Holmes brand now, but time to replace it. Recommendations?

Thanks,
Herb

Kenmore console model- easy parts and serviceability too.
Had same one for 15 years now.

Seriously, I have no life.
Get a cold one. The warm ones are a health hazard, as dangerous spores multiply in them and get aerosolized.

In NC you will get away with it. Here it is just too cold and adding humidity causes lots of building problems.
