Any recs on a good record cleaning device that won't break the bank. I'm really thinking about the spin-clean. I like the nitty gritty, but wow what a pricetag.

This link is good for info on vinyl cleaning.

For good "record cleaning devices", I'd go to the most crooked lawyer you know of... bonus points if he/she wears a tee like this one.

I have read that wood glue poured on and then let dry works wonders, but i have never tried it.

I tried it once, did not work for crap.
I use a 50/50 mix of distilled water/rubbing alcohol using a LP brush and then wipe it down with a clean, lint free rag soaked in more distilled water. And then wipe dry with another rag. And if you really want to make sure you get it all, then use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.

I'm in a similar boat. I really don't want to spend that much, but there are some convincing arguments for it. There was a review of the Spin Clean in the Vinylphile magazine a few issues back...

Seems like a pretty good endorsement. I've heard others that use it, too, and love it. DD's post (above) is the first negative thing I've read/heard.

I have the spin clean and it works real good. You may need to buy some extra lint free soft rags to dry, but for the price it does it's job well. I couldn't afford the real deal record cleaners, and the wood glue method seems like too much work and kind of risky. I can recommend the spin clean.
