Are there any S-Video switchers out there that do not severely degrade picture quality? Every switcher I buy creates lines and jaggies on the screen, and it's not my cables, they are of good quality. The last switcher I purchased was a $40 Philips unit from Walmart that automatically selected the input for you, but it also degraded the picture quality. My stupid TV has 2 S-video inputs, but one of them is on the front of the unit and we don't want cables hanging off the front of the tv. I need to switch between my digital cable box and dvd player and we do not have an a/v receiver in our family room.
