Good Laugh????

Hey, I came across this video while searching youtube for some older 70's tunes. My sister used to play the song "Precious and Few" by the Climax Blues Band all of the time. Anyways, while watching this video dated 1972, I noticed the bass player looks exactly like John C. Reilly!!!!! Of course, there is no way it could be him, but good Lord they sure look alike. Please take a couple of minutes and watch the video to see if you agree. There are a couple of good shots of the bass player so be sure to watch closely. Here is a link:

Yeah, the song is not the greatest, but my sis sure loved it. Because of her, I can almost sing it word for word.........LOL!!!! So, do you think the bassist looks like John Reilly or not? He does to me and that is the real reason I posted this thread. John is a very funny actor. Put him and Will Ferrell together, and you are in for a lot of laughs.

Oh and the pants the Reilly look-a-like was wearing were the best. Oh and he is not a long lost relative, here is what I found:

The Climax Blues Band(originally Climax Chicago Blues Band) based in Stafford, England was formed in late 1968. The original members were guitarists Derek Holt and Peter Haycock, keyboardist Arthur Wood, bassist Richard Jones and drummer George Newsome. Colin Cooper on vocals and saxophone made up the sextet. In 1970, the band shortened its name to the Climax Blues Band. The band has released eighteen albums and has had Top 40 hits in 1976 in the UK with “Couldn’t Get It Right”; and in 1981 in the United States with “I Love You”.

LOL......a bit painful eh? How do you think I felt when my sis would listen to this record over and over again. Of course, she was only 10 years old and I was 5. Those pants are g-r-o-o-v-y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for that history piece.

Oh ok............LOL!!!!! The bass player looks a lot like John C. Reilly who played in Walk Hard or Talladega Nights. It is a bit painful, but if you watch the video closely you will see a couple of good shots of the bassist. Then, you will see what I am referring to.

I don't watch Will Ferrell movies. Period. They're universally awful and the every movie trailer I see confirms that. I know who John C. Reilly is, but I'm not sure I could sit through the movies you suggest to see the resemblance you see.

Dave, to be honest I am not a big Will Ferrell myself. There is a movie titled "The Promotion" that has John C. Reilly in it. The movie is decent enough to watch. There were some funny moments. If by chance you do watch it, then you will see the resemblance I am referring to. My daughter seen Step Brothers and said it was very funny. Therefore, I may rent it sometime in the near future.
