Good deal for anyone looking to purchase a budget sub

For those interested in a solid deal on a budget subwoofer check out the Pinnacle PS Sub 225 being offer by Meijer right now for only $149. I picked up one a little over a week ago to do a review on it, and based upon my experience thus far I feel for that price it is quite the bargain.

Note: Meijer does not allow you to return opened electronics for any reason, so if you opt to purchase one do so with the understanding that there is no 30 day in home trial like most other companies offer.

Sigh... every forum has it's own rules. Sometimes it hard to keep track of them all. :(

Mod; if you want to move this into the Deals section feel free to do so.

I don't think it is a big deal :) We had some issues in the past, so people were posting them in the individual forums, so no worries.

It just went down to $129. I paid $189 not two weeks ago. That's a fast way to eat $60...

Maybe they'll adjust your price.

I checked how much it would be to ship to me - $23.89, for a total shipped price of $152.89. Pretty cheap. I would like to buy it for my computer system, but I need to not buy anything unnecessary for awhile D:

I tried that actually, but they told me to forgetaboutit. Not only is there a no returns policy (unless defective), they adamantly refuse to make price adjustments. Seems like a pretty draconian place to buy something, to be honest, but at that price it might be worth it anyway.

And just like that the price drops again; now they're only $99! Get one while you can...

DAMN, that's a deal. Only good to 30Hz, but still.

not to start anything,

but why say anything then ?

shouldn't it be left up to the mods ?
Just because it is not uncommon for people to miss the fact that we even have a Deals area here. We have a deals area to make it easier to find those deals, yes? Since the mods didn't move it, then I guess it wasn't a big deal, like I said.

Just picked two of them up. One of my TC Sound based subs died on me a month ago:(.

These can try and fill in until I get around to building my entertainment center and integrate my 18" 's.

Battlestar Galactica killed it.

That's awful - sorry for your loss. TC subs are incredible, so I hope you can fill the void soon. What 18" drivers do you plan to use for the build?

Sorry for the off-topic questions.

This is actually the next sub I'll be reviewing, so I have one at this very moment. For perhaps the first time since I've been doing this I think a manufacturer has been accurate when they quote spec's; I honestly don't think this one goes too far into the 20's. It's pretty articulate, but it doesn't dig really deep. But for $99 it's a steal, because IMHO it's worth more then that.

It was the 1st big dog fight with Galactica and all the sudden: CLUNK.

I have a pair of eDesign Audio 18"s.

Meijer is also selling the AC Sub 125 for only $69, so anyone can now get a sub for pocket change it seems.

I am looking for a sub for my sun-room. Do you think this sub is a better deal for $138 shipped than the BIC F12 is for $188 shipped?

That depends; what are you going to use it for, HT or music? For music I'd say the PS Sub 225, but for HT I'd probably side with the F12.

Ha, probably mostly TV and video games and whatever the dogs like to watch.
