Good customer service? NOT!!!!

We have been looking for a certain doll house for a Christmas present for our 7 yr old daughter. My wife calls the store last night inquiring to see if its availably won't mention the name((toys r something) , she is told yes "we have inventory but we can't hold products for our customers, you'll have to come in". Well its 20 miles away and late we'll try again tomorrow. Wife wakes up early calls the store, "yes we do have it in stock", okay I'll be there in half an hour. Gets into the car drives all the way there in morning rush hour no less, only to be told "sorry we have one left and it's on hold for someone" She's like WTF, where is the manger and still after all that she wasn't sold the doll house

Buy.com really sucks. As soon as I am done fighting with a $30 item I have never received that I want refunded for I will start making threads everywhere advising against the use of Buy.com.

we usually do, just yesterday was one of those days . The part which is very upsetting is been told no reservations allowed then hearing something different the next day.

This almost happened to us last year....we wanted to get our son a Caddy Escalade (the battery powered one )and Toys are Nuts told us they were in stock and they would hold it (go figure)I immediately sent my father in law to go pick it up,he almost got into a fist fight with the manager who was ultra rude and denied that they ever held anything it was first come first serve, to make a long story short, we got the Caddy after 4 hours (not kidding), next time if they say it's in stock be ready to go and pick it up right away. I hate shopping.

That's why I order online. Let Fedex fight the traffic. A few years ago we bought our daughter a huge doll house after shopping online. Kmart of all places had the best deal. It's taller than her, and I think we paid $99 for it. You should have seen the look on her face when she opened it.

Whaddya know, it's $79 now.

I'd gladly pay more then that, to see Ellyn's face x-mass morning . Oh well we're SOL, but her birthday is in early Jan.
