Hi all.
I received my copy of Gone With The Wind on Blu Ray today.
One of my all time favorites, I was really looking forward to this version (Ultimate Collector's Edition, pre-ordered back in July from Amazon).
I haven't watched the whole movie yet, just spent about 10 minutes skipping through some chapters to see how it looked.
All I can say is, it's absolutely OUTSTANDING!!
At age 60, I've seen it countless times, and I've never seen it look this good.
They did a GREAT job with this release on Blu Ray.
I know some folks don't care for collector's editions with extras such as books, poster reproductions, elaborate packaging, etc., but to me, some films really deserve special presentations, and this is one of those films.
The $45 price was reasonable given the whole package (three discs, a hard cover book, a cd sampler, some art work, and, to me, a very nice presentation case).
A happy camper here.
