Hi everyone, "first time poster" and hoping for some input on making the decision to go with either the SuperSat 60C or SLM XL.

How about some more information than that to work with? Start maybe with why just these two choices, especially one being a passive soundbar, the other satellite speakers....both of limited performance capability. What gear will you use them with in what size room/at what distance?

ps looked at X3 instead of XL, so both just limited speakers altho somewhat similar form factors. Have you heard both?

Lovinthehd, my mistake. had a lot of that filled in and then thought i was diving into the weeds really.

Regardless, the room is roughly 28' x 22' (vaulted right - ~12' to left ~23') and the heart of the "system" currently is a Marrantz SR8015 which is powering the 7 channels. Remodeled the room with 14/4 to each location which from the TV to seating area is roughly 16', distance between L & R fronts is 8', rears are spaced roughly 5' behind and 12' apart angled towards the seating area. In terms of speakers, my current ones are phase tech's but they're roughly 20 years old (can't remember the model; however, they have 2 - 6" woofers, 1" tweeter and powered 12" sub built in on each) and essentially replacing everything. Subwoofers (2) are older 12" sealed infinities powered by a Europower 2500 amp located on either side of my couch and the only components i wasn't planning on replacing.

Primary goal is to find a fairly "high performance" center channel that was very low profile to go with the look of my wall mounted TV (Samsung 75" 9k series) which will be extremely detailed and crisp for movies primarily. i know that i won't recreate an IMAX level experience with something as low profile as either of the two I mentioned; however, don't have any experience with either of these brands and trying gauge overall fit and finish and quality ceiling and then work my way outwards from center channel with the same brand.

thanks!
