It came to me today that I have an old set of small Kenwood speakers and when I get the UPA-2 tomorrow will have the Dayton as an extra amp. I can use my Droid Incredible as a source for mp3's, streaming music and fm. I will probably keep it on the local classical channel and listen for a short time before bed. I haven't had a tv in that room since I moved in and being without cable tv I will not have video which is fine. I have been told many times by doctors that one of the most important things to avoid insomnia is to only use the bed for sleep and sex, no tv. But I need more music in my life, not more tv. The little Kenwoods are quite nice with high quality binding posts and the drivers, especially the tweeter appearing to be decent. The tweeter flange is almost as big as the woofer. For a while I had them in a garage sitting on a sometimes wet floor for one of my partners who liked to do art while out there so the MDF is peeling away in places. I'm trying to think of something that will seal the cracks. Wood glue is my first thought. They don't have to look nice, I have no husband acceptance factor. When I was last hospitalized I borrowed a radio from the nursing station and spent hours listening to KSJN, the St. Paul MPR station, and enjoyed it despite it being a very cheap boom box. I knew I would think of a good use for that awful Dayton amp and those Kenwood speakers.
