Hey guys,

Heres my current setup.

Receiver- Pioneer 1014
Mains- Polk R50
Center- Polk Csi3
Surrounds- Polk r50

Im planning on purchasing the Polk Fxi3's to use them as a back surround for 7.1. Question is should I set them up as bipole or dipole? Another option would be to go 6.1 and order another Polk Csi3 for the rear. If you had to choose between the two, which would it be?

Thanks in advance...

I think the di-pole mode sounds better.

To get the most out of the di-pole mode you should have some space behind the speaker for the sound to reflect off the back wall properly. If you are right against the back wall it may be better to put them directly above you and use bi-pole mode on the back wall.

I like the 7.1 setup over the 6.1 setup. I think the Fxi3's will add better surround sound then adding a Csi3 speaker.
