****, I voted for Obama. I'm going to go to hell now.

I'm affiliated with a university, got early voting... no lines for me!

"Proper" Christianity has been debunked time and time again. It's cool to believe in something, but, lets not apply it to the real world. You know, the one where we have things like "evolution" and "carbon dating" and "birth control" and "hot sluts so we don't have to do little boys." (Sorry, I know most Christians aren't boy rapers, but, hahaha)

Good post brotha.

Is this really any different than Nancy Pelosi claiming that Obama was 'sent by God' to lead the USA (paraphrasing)? I love it when a Conservative Republican invokes the use of "God" in their language, it's considered Bible-thumping right-wing religious fanaticism, but if a lefty like Pelosi does it, it's widely accepted. Furthermore, this was an interview between a Christian and a Christian group leader, so of course the topic would in some way revolve around their faith in God. As an agnostic independent myself, I would rather any candidate keep their religious connotations to their damn selves when running for office, but I'm not going to get bent out of shape if they express the faith they hold dear to their hearts - so until the Pledge of Allegiance no longer says 'One Nation under God', I think we should give this matter a break. ;)

I always find it ironic that Republicans are always preaching "Jesus" and "God" in each sentence. If memory serves me right, Jesus preached equality and tollerance, and sharing. Republicans have always stood for the status quo - "make me rich, the hell with everyone else".

If anything, Jesus is more liberal than conservative. It's odd that hard core Christians can't see the obviousness of the fact.

PS: The majority of Americans are MORONS! The last election proves it. The Religious base in America has a lot of power - enough to sway elections. What did it truly accomplish?

Liberals are pro-choice. Right or wrong, the Christian Church will never back liberals for that one reason alone.

Morons? Hmmm... funny how liberals like to consider themselves the tolerent side... infsofar as you agree with them. For argument sake... I'll go through this little exercise. My wife and I are both well educated with mutiple degrees between us. Our income exceeds the magic $250K number that Obama has decided that those who've earned it should be punished for their hard work. Our daughter is 14 and has already earned a half of semester of college credit as a straight A student, in FL's toughest curriculam (she's very much a Republican on her own volition). My wife and I donated nearly $20K last year to the United Way, Hospice, and a few other organizations. I donate my time to volunteer at Hospice and have worked with troubled kids in the past. Every winter, I buy blankets and towels for the Humane Society so the dogs can be somewhat comfy. Every year I've been one of the organizers for our company's part in the American Cancer Walk for Life campaign. I help teach basic home finance to families through the local school workshops... for free, logged over 50 hours of community service at the Hope and Help Center in Orlando which was an HIV food pantry while I was in college. I'm a Christian, but not religious and I like just about everyone until they've gone out of their way to deserve my disdain. I belong to a fancy country club... and we donate about $10k every quarter through the fundraisers the charity committee I belong to raises. I've sat on many financial panels and have participated in my share of government sponsored think tanks on healthcare, finance, and the economy.

... oh yeah... I also voted for George Bush and do not regret it. Moron? Be careful who you judge. I'm hoping you limit your uninformed insults to the internet and don't go around verbalizing them in person to others. You may just come across someone who doesn't take it quite so nicely. But taking into consideration what you think about all great people of this country... I think it's safe to say we'll both rejoice in the fact that you're in Canada and not here.

I am in complete shock as to how anyone can say they "voted for bush and don't regret it" that is why our country is in trouble right now. I really cannot even go on as I might get banned..

I can be liberal or conservative depending on the issue and I'm intolerant to people on both sides. I simply can't stand people in general.

WHAT HAVE NON BELIEVERS EVER GIVEN HUMANKIND THAT COMPARES?
Science.

And through the beginning of the Scientific Revolution, they had to be very careful not to piss off the religous nutbags.

I agree, The conservative base preach God all the time but the liberals only do it if it gets them something in return and then they say to hell with everyone unless I can get money from them....
