"Please see below?"

I don't get it, what's your point?

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification. Even with this extra tidbit of information, I still don't know the point. Is the point that $30k is a dang good price for this unit considering its exemplary audio performance? Or, that $30k is too much for something that any plastic receiver purchased for $149 at the off-price shopping center can do just as well?

Sorry for the confusion about my point!
The 30k price is rediculous considering that flagship recievers from Yamaha, Denon and many others will rival if not exceed the MarkLevinson for a whole lot less money.

Cheers

with ML you pay ofr hand picked and by this i mean picked and looked over if it does't do 24bits it goes back to be used in the $149 product, ML also takes more time to logically layout the PCB boards and circuitry for sortest and simplest pathways, also each capacitor and moseft is tested strenuously for reliablity and quality.

These things = $30k

Yamaha and Denons Flagship receiver come off a barely man'ed asembly line, hardly anything is so strenuously hand picked or tested.

I would personally feel more confident in my product esp ML than I would say a $3k product from just about any retailer.

'These things' are worth 10x the price? I've got news for you. All companies with competent design engineers take the time to pick out appropriate dsps, layout the pcb, and choose the 'best' supporting parts like capacitors that they can to meet their price point, which is determined by their in house costs - just like any other product.

Now ML is highly regarded and definitely makes quality equipment but the MAJORITY of that cost is because they are a small company with expensive, though very experienced, engineers and the cost of research and development is passed on to the consumer + a huge premium for the cachet of a well respected name.

The law of diminishing returns kicks in rapidly. I don't think that prepro is 10x better even though it cost 10x as much.

WHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT? 30,000 for a home theater amp?. Are you sure?
Are those things for cinemas or what?
Is there anybody out there who has spent that kink of money in a home theater amp?

I don´t want to know how much a flagship Krell with flagship Canton cost.

Does it even worth it?
