Last year, she ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Italian Senate, telling newspaper Corriere della Sera before the country’s elections: “I was just tired of hearing politicians arguing with each other without ever getting to the point.”
If you want to see a good movie with her and Sean Connery, let me suggest "Woman of Straw". A movie that was released in 1964. I'm mentioning it and it gives me goose bumps. If you can get hold of a DVD copy of it as I did, I'm sure some of you will enjoy it.

Not really someone I saw in their films during their prime, nor even later much. Saw primarily sexuality sort of comments, and she was gorgeous no doubt, but didn't really know a lot about her. I do remember seeing something about the political run and wasn't even sure that was real (I didn't think she was still alive).
