I was recently at my local Magnolia, (where I picked up a pair of demo Boston VRX's for $100!!!), and I saw a 1 meter component video cable sitting in a display case with a price tag of.........................................
$650!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the F'in hell!?!?!? I asked the guy if that was really the price, and he said, "yes". The cable is supposedly made entirely of silver for the "absolute best picture quality". He gave me some crap about it giving an almost 3-D like picture. I wanted to laugh in his face. As the title says, Gimme a break. Who the hell would spend $650 on a cable!?!?!? I mean, maybe if I had Bill Gates money I would. But I'd like to think that even if I was filthy rich, I would be a little more practical than that.
Ah well. To each his own.
