GIK Panels

Hi Guys,

I was unable to put up the GIK panels over the weekend and thus did them yesterday. I was having a bit of difficulty with the last panel over my head but finally got it.

I must say that the sound improvement is phenomenal. I have never heard such clarity and separation in a HT system ever. The bass seems to just be in the room and not just in the corners. The center channel has so much detail, the words are clear and crisp, in fact the whole front stage is.......... ahh indescribable. Words cannot convey the sounds I am hearing, I guess sound cannot really be fully described by words.

These GIK Panels are truly amazing. I have 244's on all four corners, a pair of 244's behind my head on the back wall, 242's on my right and left side walls and a 242 over my head in the roof.

I am truly awestruck by the difference in the room. My wife came in after we had finished and she admitted that it’s great sounding. A couple of friends that helped me said they will think twice about going to the movies, they will come to my house instead.

For those of you who have not tried these panels I highly recommend them. I would like to say thanks to Frank at GIK Acoustics, he held my hand and guided me through the entire process, from ordering to placement and installation.

I just can’t get over how truly amazed I am at the improvement in my HT room. I am looking forward to going home and watching a movie

Wow thank you so much for the purchase and the kind words. Frank is one of our newest members of the GIK family and seems to be fitting in VERY well (almost 3 months) with the team. He comes with a background in not only recording engineering but also has a background in AV/room acoustical analysis. Oh and not to forget he plays a MEAN guitar!!! I can truly say that I second everything you said. I was a little skeptical about how much the panels were going to improve my sound. But, I must say I sit in my chair and smile from ear to ear. The sound is just so much clearer, the bass is tight and smooth, and the overall sound is truly amazing. I have 242s on the side walls and one on the ceiling, 2 bass tri traps in the front corners, and a monster bass trap in the rear. I am really impressed. And thanks to Glenn and Bryan for their assistance in helping me.

I'm also new to the GIK family except I haven't put my panels up yet. Still renovating. Ordered 4 tri-traps and I'm going to order some 244 panels.

I too, love my GIK panels. They were my best and most cost effective upgrade.
