I have had this PJ for about a month now and I have been noticing some ghosting. I am using an audioquest component cable 6' long connected to a 480i output on my Sony mega changer. Has anyone else noticed this artifact with this PJ. Any comments would be most welcome!! Thanks

Hi
There should be no ringing at all, but don't confuse ringing with Edge Enhancement(digital image processing filter) on many DVD's If you do have a ringing problem it is most likely due to termination on the sync or impedance problems with the cable or termination try to substitute the cable with S-vid or composite as a test to see if the ringing persists another possibilty is that you have the sharpness set to a high level on the projector or the DVD player
if the player has an adjustment use VE or AVIA and adjust the sharpness to its correct level generally this is a very low level
Here is a very good explanation of Edge Enhancement and what it looks like

Thanks for that very informative reply! It promted me to do some digging which solved the problem. As it turned out, my DVD changer has some video EQ settings that I forgot about. I had adjusted them for my 43" Toshiba RPTV(6 years old). Well, after tweaking things accordingly for the PJ, no more ringing(not to be confused with ghosting). Thanks again for the advice.

P.s. - These adjustments are just in time for a LOTR marathon weekend we are hosting for my friends who are fellow ringheads :D !
