It was worth a Redbox rental. It is nothing like the orginal, different motorcycle etc and no Peter Fonda as the Devil. The audio was cool as my back speakers came alive on special effects and good LFE. I will not purchase this one on Bluray . Not as good of story line. Not one of Cage's better movies and I am a fan of his movies.

put it this way ... Ghost Rider 1 was a masterpiece compared to this one.

i don't know if Cage was channelling his faceoff character when he's playing johnny blaze.
then you don't know if they want a "scary" character or a comedic character or a cool character. <- none worked. he's neither scary, funny nor cool.

LOL. Can't imagine the list of "better" Cage movies is that long. He does have a few, but compared to the total number that he's done.. Ghost Rider is one of my favorite characters, so I knew as soon as I saw Cage, that I wasn't going to watch these.

Adaptation was good. Face Off was good. The Rock is a given. That's about it. Con Air was entertaining, not good.

I actually don't like Face Off.

my pet peeve. anything related to sleeping with someone's wife is a turn off for me.

never liked the accent in Con Air (or the story).

I picked it up on Blu Ray last night at Walmart along with Sherlock Holmes. I bought it for the special affects and sound track.. a no brainer entertainer. :)

I have to admit, the 3D on the trailer for GRII looked good. DAMN, I didn't know Sherlock came out...gotta go pick that up.

Con Air is great because of how corny it is. The Rock is definitely my favorite Cage movie though :D

I thought so too.It has some good special effects and the audio was Good.. but the story line was not as good as the first one. Worth a Rebox rental... save your money on buying the Bluray until you rent it first.. Sherlock Holmes with Jude Law and Robert Downey has been on Bluray for some time now... Good Bluray I purchased it. I think there is a second one but not sure if it's on sale.

The second Sherlock Holmes hit the stores yesterday. Best Buy currently has the Blu-Ray for $13. The first is on sale for $10.

We liked both movies. A good time, nothing to over-intellectualize though. Just sit back, strap in, and enjpy the ride.

Yes, I was referring to the second one. I liked the first one a lot and already own it, so I figured I'd pick up the second too.

Cage

Wicker Man - did not like it
Lord of War - decent
Matchstick Men - decent
National Treasure both of them - hated them both
Gone in 60 Seconds - hated it
Snake Eyes - hated it
Bangkok Dangerous - didn't even bother
The Sorceres Apprentice - very, very average.
Guarding Tess - decent
City of Angles - yes, I liked this one.
Knowing - garbage
8 MM - hated it, and I saw this in the theater.
The Family Man - just OK

I forgot he won a Academy Award for... Leaving Las Vegas.

In Adaption.... he was nominated for a Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA

Oh well to each his own Bro. Gone In 60 Seconds was a great "Car" movie
but I am a old gear head ;) that likes Old Mustangs, Corvette's and fast Sport Bike's.

I did think his performance and Elizabeth Shue's were good in Leaving Las Vegas, but I still didn't think it was a solid movie.

I am definitely a car guy, which is exactly why I didn't like Gone in 60 Seconds. Other than the cars and Angelina, it didn't have anything going for it :)

I can think of a couple not listed above that I enjoyed somewhat. The first would be Kick ***. While I really enjoyed that movie, if his character was left out it wouldn't have changed my opinion of the movie any. Drive Angry is another one I watched for 2 reasons. I rented it after I bought my 3D TV, and I think Amber Heard is pretty hot! Again his part in that movie had no factor in why I watched it. Ghost Rider II will be a rental for me.
