Hello,
I am real new to all this but here is what I would like to set up. I have a Mac Mini that has a pretty big music library. I also have a Yamaha RX-V565 that I would like to use as the amplifier.
I have been able to get the Mini to pass through the Yamaha but I cant get the volume to go up on the Yamaha. It seems like it is acting only as a pass through.
It works like so: from the headphone jack of the mini there is a cable running to an Audio Aux of the Yamaha. Then the speakers are plugged into the auto-out of the Yamaha. I select Audio2 and I hear music.
I hear music, but the only way to turn it up is on the Mini.
What am I missing??
