My Panasonic Blu-Ray player (bd65) recently started displaying error when selecting the 'network' button: "Cannot connect. Please try again later or confirm network connections..." This worked a day or two ago. This is what happened:
1. Previously I had my BD player connected through my router to the internet, and used it to watch Netflix
2. I Replaced router (confirmed it had the same network setting as the old, i.e. DHCP on, ip address, subnet mask etc)
3. I confirmed the rest of the computers on the network are able to access the internet (google, hulu etc) without issues (all 3 systems).
4. I turned Player on, navigated to Network, Received "cannot connect" error.
5. Confirmed DVD network cables were connected (more than once)
6. Went through network settings. Default connection settings failed.
6a. Ran 'Network easy setting connection check.' Lan cable connection passed, IP address setting and connection to gateway failed
6b. Also tried setting Ip address, subnet mask and gateway to my LAN settings manually but still received the error. (When I set the IP manually, the 'connection test' actually succeeded, but I still received the same error when switching to network mode.
7. Connected my Player directly to the cable modem, bypassing the router. Still no dice.
Any suggestions on what to try next? Is this likely a hardware issue? Thanks, d
