Hey Guys,
I haven't used my B&K in a while but it has always been hooked up. I just rewired a few days ago to use a new TV and I'm suddenly finding that I'm no longer getting info on screen. I'm pretty sure setup used to show on my TV screen but it isn't now.

Can anybody help me out with this? It is such a pain to have to use the B&K dial for setup. I'm having another issue regarding my SAT receiver but that's another post. Lol

THANKS!

I have a 507 but I think the video display works the same in both models. There are 3 types of video outputs to a TV: composite video (a single RCA cable), S video, and component video (3 RCA cables). Of course, in receivers this old there is no HDMI connection.

The set up screen can be seen only via the composite or S video connections. The component video outputs do not show it. So I added a composite video connection to my TV using a separate input channel on the TV. I switch to that input channel only to see the receiver's set up screen. It's a little awkward, but it works.

How did you hook up your new TV hooked to the AVR?

I have the Ref 50 S2 pre-pro and I have to use the composite for the on screen display.

You've pretty much summed it up. All I ha e these days are a cd changer and 2 blu rays. I've got the blu rays connected via component cable. I have my SAT also connected via component cable which is being a pain be use I can't get my premium channels through the B&K but that is another rant. Lol
