Explay, a developer of nano-projector engines for consumer electronic products, announced today that its nano-projector engine successfully produced eye-safe, always focused images in tests with several leading mobile devices such as mobile phones, portable media players and digital camcorders. The projections for this taking off are daft. Even if the telco love this (which I doubt, because it would require huge improvement in bandwidth to properly run this screen) selling 60 mil units in only 2 years after introducing a product is crazy. It's going to take that long just for the phone companies to integrate their product. Even if we assume that they mean this product will be on shelves and fully available for use with every new phone, the chances that this will be a sufficent hit with earily adopters to run 60 mil units is pretty far fetched. I can only see this taking off once the telcos can provide bandwidth for at least 800x600... and as the world cup trials in europe show... the telcos can't even provide sufficent bandwidth for half of that.

EDIT: Now if they want to compete with existing business projectors, that's something else again.

That and entertainment - think airplane use and tiny movies you can buy/rent for maybe ~$4 and play without getting seasick.
