Garage Sale speakers

Got a great story to pass on.
The other day I was helping my father clean out his shop. I came across an old set of speakers, don't remember the brand but they were crappy. He mentions he also has some other speakers laying around that he never used. Just something he bought at a garage sale for $10. Well, I go find those and they're B&W DM 220's. These were obviously not one of B&W's high-end models but they have two 8" woofers and a soft dome tweeter all in perfect condition. The cabinets aren't great, made of
1/2" material and wrapped in vinyl but condition wise I'd give em a 7/10.
So I get them home, they work, and after setting in front of them for a while I realize they sound pretty good. Nice soundstage and lots of punch. I thought I would use them in my garage but I just may just leave them in the house. Best $10 speakers I ever heard! :D

Sweet deal man:D

I remember years ago going to an estate sale, and someone was selling their fathers camera equipment for a lot less than it was worth. I had to tell them it was worth a lot more ( I was working in a camera store at the time) I’m not suggesting your dad did wrong, he probably didn’t know himself.

My dad didn't have a clue. When I said " holly sh** these are B&W's", he asked if it was the same as the car company. He also loves his Bose 901's, nuff said.
