gapless playback of audio CDs on a DVP 3020

I've bought recently a Philips DVD (DVP 3020), and the player has an annoying gap between the tracks when playing audio CD's (not mp3 CDs, but normal CDs). Is it possible to turn on some kind of gapless playback on that DVP 3020 model? If it isn't, is there some way to 'go around' this problem?

Thanks a lot,
Alfredo

A 2 second gap between tracks is the standard for Redbook CDs. If you were to burn an audio CD yourself you could eliminate the track gap if you use Disc At Once mode but there is nothing you can do to the change the track markers on a CD that is already finalized.

If the player allows crossfading, you can simulate gapless playback by setting the fade-out and fade-in duration to 1 second each (or 2 seconds if you can just set the total crossfade duration) but it won't necessarily be perfect if the ends of the tracks already fade smoothly.

Thanks for the tips, buddy.

I decided to pick another DVD player that I have, a Sony DVP-NS53P, and it seems to emulate almost perfectly that gapless playback stuff, without the awful gaps displayed on the the Philips DVP 3020/78.
