Am thinking of getting a Yamaha RX t2400 receiver and either gallo due's for front & micros rear. Or RPH 61 se's front & 41 se's rear. I have an athena sub now. Room is just under 8 feet wide and about 20 long. 8.5 foot ceilings. need this for TV, Movies and music. I have a DirecTV HD receiver Sony low end progressive DVD/SACD player and a Pioneer cd changer and possible turntable

Well,... I own a bunch of RBH speakers and I am very pleased with them. I have some of the SE line, the MC line, and the AC line. I think the 61SE mains, 661SE center, and 41SE surrounds would be a very nice set-up. I would also recommend you listen to the MC series ( I think they are one of the very best value/performance, HT/music all around speakers out there) maybe 3 MC-616C (mains and center) and a pr MC-4C (surrounds) and round it out with a TS-10AP sub (or keep the one you have). The MC series will save you a few bucks, and the sound is very, very similar to the SE series. My take is the MC series is a little more forward/bright/detailed than the SE and perhaps slightly better for HT use while the SE seems to excell at music, smooth/neutral/ but still just a touch forward. I'd have to think that is because of the tweeters, the MC's use a proprietary aluminum tweeter and the SE's use a Vifa fabric dome. I believe they both use the same mid/woofer drivers. The finish on the SE's is awesome (though the MC finish is very nice too) and available in over 30 wood grain veneers, with better cabinet bracing and construction. Both series have outstanding imaging and huge soundstages. Only odd thing in my opinion is my TS-10AP is a much more musical sub than my 1212SE sub,....but maybe thats just me ;-)
In any case I highly recommend any of the RBH SE or MC series speakers.

I'd say go for the RBHs or Perhaps Definitive Tech both are tried and true and many including myself can vouch for their quality.

Definitives are the all around kinda o guy speakers handle both music and movies equallly, personally never listened to RBHs but hey if Gene likes em its gospel enough for me :p
