Gallo Micro Nucleus vs Energy Take 5.2?

has anyone compared these 2 systems directly? I had the chance to listen to the energy take 5.2s and they sounded great, even much better than their newer cousins the act6. I was interested though in hearing how the gallos sound (in comparison). I can get a take 5.2 system for half the price as the equivalent gallo system, so that is one thing to consider. thanks in advance.

No, but...

...the Gallo is a nice mini system that fits in good where looks are more important that sound and they still wind up sounding darn good for their diminutive size.

The Energy system places more emphasis on the sound and less on the looks while still remaining quite small, although not as small and stylish as the Gallo.

I'll let you fill in the rest. You're the only one that can balance the looks/sound/dollar equation.

my girlfriend is fine with either (although she does like the stainless steel ones better) and she is the impetus for getting a smaller system because she thinks my boston acoustics are too large. so i guess i am more interested in how they sound in comparison to each other because i less concerned on how they look aesthetically.

We moved from WAF to GAF :D

klhawkm - I've never heard the Gallo's so have no experience. I have heard a friend of mines Take 5.2's and liked them. In fact, I ended up buying the newer Energy Take LCR/SATs.

Both comapnies though make quality...so as they say let your ears decide. But at 50% less expensive I'd probably lean to the Energy

All things being equal, size matters. It's better to have larger drivers in a two way box than a micro single driver enclosure.

If you really want a small WAF friendly system and don't care about budget, I'd start thinking about the Mission M-Cube which is one of the best cube systems around at any price.

thanks everyone for your response. i think i am going to get the energy's. you can't beat em for $419. although i will be sad to see my boston's cr's go (or atleast stored away) i will definitely appreciate the size reduction
