Fuse for Janis Interphase amps

A

aspeters

Hi friends,

A not-so-smart home contractor plugged in a nice halogen worklamp on the same circuit as my Janis Interphase/White Star subs. Fortunately the fuses did their job and (hopefully) didnt fry anything else.

Problem is, the fuses have voltage on them (250V) but do not list Amperage. I checked all over the unit itself, and (re)examined the fuse itself to no avail. I don't have manuals and the company that made Janis components is long out of business.

So, no idea if it's slow or fast blow, or the amperage.

Any ideas? Could I just do the trial & error with the $2.99 fuses from radio shack? If i get a fuse thats too low rated, it will blow, right? Perhaps I can keep incrementing upwards (0.5A, 1A, 2A, etc) until i'm ok?

Thanks for any tips you may have,
Andy
