Hey all!
For sale is my Sony VPL-HS60 720p HD LCD home theater projector. I bought this projector new in 2008 to replace my second DLP projector (I will never buy DLP again, as I have found DLP to be much less reliable compared to LCD).
I am looking to get
$375 OBO. It will ship in the original box with the backlit remote and all original accessories and documentation. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.
In my experience with installing/using 9 different home theater projectors over the years, this is the highest quality, quietest, and best-built one that I have used. It is pretty much silent, even in high altitude mode. This has been stored in its original box since July 2010 when I upgraded to the (much lower quality but higher resolution) Epson 8500UB.
Here are the specs at Projector Central, as well as a useful projection calculator:

The bulb has 701 hours on it and has only ever been run in the standard (economy) mode. According to the official Sony spec sheet (attached) the bulb should last about 3000 hours in standard mode (or 2000 hours in high-lamp mode), so there is probably at least 2000 hours of lamp life remaining if it remains operated in standard mode.
Resolutions supported through HDMI are anything up to and including 1080i. Also, unlike newer Sony SXRD projectors, it has plenty of lens shift and zoom for most applications, including shelf or ceiling overhead mounting and tabletop mounting. It also has vertical keystone correction if needed.
As will all my gear, this has been meticulously cared for, dusted and cleaned frequently, and stored in the original box when not installed. It has only ever been shelf-mounted, so no ceiling mount has ever been attached.
