Selling a pair of Peachtree Audio DS4.5 speakers in rosewood veneer. These are similar to the Era/Peachtree D4 bookshelf speakers.
The DS4.5 shares the same woofer and tweeter as the more expensive D4, but is voiced slightly differently for desktop/nearfield use, and uses a less expensive cabinet than the D4.
I'm the 2nd owner. I bought these from the original owner this past winter. The speakers are functionally perfect, and cosmetically in great shape with 2 exceptions:
1) The are some minor scratches/scuffs on the top of one of the speakers (see pics).
2) On the front, beneath the grills, the are imperfections in the surface beneath the black finish (see pics). These are imperfections from the factory during production, not damage to the speaker. The original owner always left the grills on, so he did not try to get replacements. I kept the grills on as well, since I think they look better that way.
I used these as desktop speakers with an Audioengine N22 amp, and have been very happy with them for that purpose. I'm selling because I switched to active monitors (Emotiva Airmotiv4) on my desktop. Grills and original packaging included. Speakers will be double boxed for shipping.
