long story short, ive always wanted a Onkyo NC500 to stream my mp3s to my stereo, i was scowering ebay and found its big brother so i jumped on it.

i finally got around to running a ethernet cable to it and setting everything up a few weeks ago, it works great! but i think i am going to stick with using my ipod and ipod dock. this device is certainly nice, but the ipod is better suited for me and my uses.

if your looking to stream your mp3s to your home stereo or even a for a small desktop am/fm radio this is the device for you.

$150 obo

Is this gonna affect the internet radio function?
This is warning/announcement on Onkyo/Integtra site:
http://www.integrahometheater.com/notice_nettune.cfm

Well it looks like Internet radio won't work anymore?

"...iMerge, the Internet Radio service available through Net-Tune™ capable INTEGRA® brand products, announced that it discontinued the iMerge service and will no longer be supporting Internet radio streaming. iMerge advises that this is due largely to changes adopted by Internet Radio stations in their broadcasting formats. In addition, iMerge announced that it is no longer actively maintaining the Internet Radio database. These announcements mean that as streaming formats continue to change, the selection of Internet Radio stations available through Net-Tune™ will decrease and eventually will cease."

that announcment was in 2005.

What else can I use this for? can you explain the other benefits a bit more? I might be interested...

I will also accept trades.. i am currently looking for a 5th Gen Ipod nano >2GB

i am unfamiliar with ALL its features, but i do know that it can be used at a desktop (stand-alone) AM/FM radio, and you can also stream your entire MP3 collection to your stereo. (how i used it). when you set it up in this fashion it will display the song title and artist (basically the ID3 tag)
