I am selling my Marantz DLP High Definition Projector, the VP-12S2 with the optional Long Throw Lens. Marantz has a reputation for building the best high definition DLP projectors in this price range. The Long Throw Lens allows for improved optics and for the projector to be further away from the viewing area than the regular S2. It was also a $3500.00 option when it was new, making retail on this projector approximately $16,999. A Long Throw Lens also provides greater flexibility for larger viewing environments. I could not find the original PDF files that detailed the differences between the Short and Long Throw Lenses, but if you go to Marantz web site you can look at the specs for the S4, which is very similar to the S2 for distance calculations of the long throws.
This unit also has a brand new bulb installed in it. The bulb is rated for approximately 2000 hours of use before needing to be replaced. The bulbs retail for $500.00, so this is an excellent bonus.
I received two remote controls for this when I bought it, so I will include both of those. The mounting items for the projector are NOT included as part of the auction. I can provide you with the model number of the mount if necessary. I am missing the lens cap and the control adapter cable (which triggers a motorized screen). The contol adapter cable is available online relatively cheap and it is not necessary to run the unit.
You can visit the Marantz site here:

Price is $5000.00 US.
