I've gotten a few PMs, but let me just clarify a couple of things:
This is not an "entry level" speaker, but one of the most solid center speakers I've ever heard. I just got Ascends (which I really like, btw), but this one walks all over the Ascend center. No contest, it absolutely crushes it. There is not a hint of boxiness or sibilance to be found anywhere in this speaker. It's quite simply the most neutral and most *natural* sounding center speaker I've ever heard.
If you notice in the pictures, I also have the C-3s (in the background), which I'm not selling. I don't really need to sell the C-C3, either - I could just save it and use it with the C-3s at some point -- but since I have no immediate plans to use it, I thought I would put it out there to the Energy community for someone else to get some enjoyment out of it. I wish I could use it with the Ascends, but it just doesn't match them.
Suffice to say, if you're going to quibble over $5-10, this probably isn't the speaker for you. Considering the quality of the speaker, their rarity, and the excellent A+ shape this one is in, I think this is a fair price. I'm open to reasonable SERIOUS offers, from people who are serious about buying it. But to be honest, I'd rather just hang on to it than come down to a "fire sale" price just to sell it. It's too nice a speaker for that. I'm interested in having it go to someone who is going to appreciate what exactly it has to offer, not to someone who is just looking for a "deal."
So, sorry for the rant, but it's almost like people want things given away practically for free these days. That's not going to happen - I'd prefer just to hang on to it. So if you're serious, great, would love to hear from you and maybe we can work something out. If not, please just look for a c-c1 or something else. Thanks.
