Selling a lightly used EMP Tek ES10i 10" home theater subwoofer in gloss black ash finish.
I bought this on closeout from EMP in late Feb, since this version has the 100W amplifier which was discontinued. EMP now sells an updated version with a 250W amplifier.
The sub is in great shape cosmetically, except for the minor scuff on the front visible in the first picture. Functionally - the sub works perfectly EXCEPT that I could not get the auto-on feature to work. I spent a few weeks conversing with EMP's tech support, and even had the amplifier replaced, but had the same issue with the new amp. Everything else about the sub works perfectly, but the amplifier needs to be set to "ON", since auto-on won't engage.
I decided not to try for another amp replacement, since EMP wanted me to send the sub back to them, and I didn't want to pay for shipping back to them.
I used it for awhile in my office for my desktop music setup, but don't need it now. Like I said, it works perfectly fine with the switch left "ON." I was also assured by EMP tech support that the power consumption difference between "ON" and "AUTO" is very minimal.
Included are: original packaging, manual, grill. Also, I have the original amp (same auto-on issue), and will include it at no added charge as long as buyer pays for shipping (which should be low since the box is small).
