For those of you that don't know, Mister X was a moderator on the Computer Audio forums Hardocp.com for several years, he is also very active on Head-fi.org. He custom built headphone amps for various members including myself and is quite well known for the quality of his builds.
Anyway, Its time to part ways with my semi-portable custom Pimeta amp. It has done a great job of driving everything from Sennheiser HD280Pro's (64Ohm) to M-Audio Studiophile Q40's (also 64Ohm) to Sennheiser PC-350s (150Ohm) without breaking a sweat. I've never had to push it past 50% volume as it gets hella loud with
zero distortion.
The amp comes with a 24v power brick but it can also run on two 9V batteries (trays in the back).
Dimensions are 5"x4"x2" with a 1/4" stereo headphone jack in the front and a 1/8" line-in jack on the back. All aluminum construction with a blue power LED.
Asking price is
$110 shipped (paid $150 for amp + $50 for the power brick). I have perfect feedback on Heatware as
SilverMK3 and eBay as 3ntreri.
