Hey folks, noob to the forums here but I had a question to anyone who may have some insight please. I will try to be brief.
Has anyone had their front speakers bi amped, then for whatever reason you went back to single amped front speakers and you are not getting treble out of one of the speakers? The Klipsch speakers need the lower set of firing ports to be used when its not being bi-amped so that is what I have them on now, but I noticed the RF treble speaker isn't working when I do that. However, when I wire the RF speaker to the upper firing ports only, then I DO hear treble but no bass. It is as if the speaker thinks it is still being bi-amped even though it isn't, and the amps I've tested it with are set correctly to the 5.1 setup, (not bi amped etc) any more. The front left speaker has no issues, I hear treble and bass when its wired to the lower ports just fine.
Has anyone had this happen and is there any advice you can give me, or does this sound like an issue for Klipsch to fix? I'm mostly certain it isn't an issue with the amp configuration because I've tried it on 2 different amps with the same result.
First amp was Denon X4000 and the current amp is another Denon.
The speakers are Klipsch RF 82 IIs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.
