Well its not a home theater, and its not mine, and there isnt even any audio, but I think it turned out nice. So here are a couple of pics.

Here you can see the surge protector outlet and the dual HDMI plate for the TV.

And since I only have a couple of in process shots (that are not interesting at all) here is the finished product

You can see the big space between the TV and the shelf, thats for the forth comming sound bar. The shelving unit is a Sanus and is VERY nice. Each shelf can hold 75lbs!!! Ok well thats about it for now, let me know what you think.

Sean, thanks for the pics. I agree with you...it turned out nice! I like how the equipment shelf doesn't touch the floor.

Thanks for the kind words fella's. This forum was key in helping pick the TV, and finding the outlet, as well as all the other info that I have recieved over the years. The shelf was an idea the owner had about everything looking like it was floating. He started by looking at normal floating shelfs, but I brought up concerns about weight holding ablity. We didnt really know what we were going to do about it, then some diligent searching found that shelf. I really like how everything is just "floating" on the wall, and how the TV fits exactly in the space. It was a bit of a pain in the butt to get it all done. We needed the bottom outlet about 1 foot higher, and the studs about 6" to the left. We prevailed though with some thinking, and a sawzall :)

Hey, Sean, that install looks hot! I've done some floating type shelves from Ikea for my customer's over the years and the concept looks kicka$$. Great Job from a fellow chicago suburbanite and a rare fellow canton speaker owner..........Canton's Rock!!

Very clean, professional looking install! :) Noticing the cable box there - are they going to upgrade to the HD version? That's the same SA cable box I have in my bedroom, and it's only SD. Have the SA 8300HD for the living room. Just curious. :)

Thanks for all the kind words guys, the owner and I really apprciate it

This has me thinking....
He gets HD channels
It has HDMI out
He supposedly has a HD package
Picture seems "meh" to me in HD....

I'm going to look into this and get back to you about it.

Sean

Edit: it is a HD box for sure. I did some poking around on the SA site and found that the non-HD boxes do not have HDMI. I also found a box that looks exactly like his with HD and a HDMI port. Lastly he has never had NON-HD cable so he would have never had a SD box.

Huh... well, guess that's one on me then. :) Granted, I didn't have the close-up view of the box, but from the camera perspective shown, looks exactly like the SD box I have in my bedroom, which doesn't even have component video output. :( It's good enough to feed my crappy Apex 20" CRT TV though.. :D

That is one of the cleanest flat panel installs I have seen. Don't change a thing!

Not one wire in sight. That's just not right. How am I suppose to live up to that?

Anything that looks that simple must have been a pain. :)
I hope you suffered. :D
