Bought a new SVS SB-1000 Pro, so naturally, it is necessary to fool around with my new toy.
I downloaded a very nifty Android app that does a great job of measuring dB by frequency (at the very least, the relative difference between frequencies). It works quite accurately... I downloaded a tone generator app and the frequency reported by the app is within 1/2 Hz of the setting on the tone generator.
But... the microphone on my Android phone appears to run out of juice about 40 Hz... it hears nothing below that. Thus, I thought I might buy a 3.5 mm heardphone jack to USB-C adapter to use my Sony STR AN1000 configuration mic, operating under the assumption that this mic would have better low frequency extenstion.
That's only a SWAG, though, and thus, I ask if anyone knows what the actual response of the mic is.
TIA
