I have been unable to find, with sometimes very annnoying tool that is google search, finding everything except what I need.
Looking for a free and legal audio sample that is in the highest possible quality known in digital era, highest you know, or you know someone that might know?
Sample Rate: 192 KHz or better
Bit Depth: 32-bit or better (floating point, or 64-bit)
Bitrate: Lossless
Codec: Raw PCM
Format: raw pcm or lossless compression.
File size: doesn't matter
To make this clear, for any curious questions:
I am not an audio enthusiast as I do not possess any special hardware other than my high-end PC and an Asus Xonar D1 audio card with Logitech X-540 5.1 Sorround Speakers.
I am not any kind of mixer, or DJ, or whatever.
I am an advanced PC user compared to the general public.
I recognize, acknowledge and respect all kinds of specialized niches in tech or anywhere, I am aware of the "volume war", and I personally do always look for the highest quality audio in my daily life and care about it.
I am not looking for a whole track of a copyrighted song at all, I am simply looking for high-quality audio, and without spending hours to find the freaking download link.
I am not interested in "help", such as, linking to a homepage of some "Supar HD Trackz" website where I have to navigate 10 links to find that there are copyrighted samples that are not even the highest quality but also not free, I do not have any online purchasing equipment so I do not condone online purchasing unless it's "cash on delivery", for now.
I do not care about any "why is 192k worthless" or any wise-guy blog talking about "too large file size", in this case.
I have personally heard very high quality audio, but I do not remember the source quality, I was at a temporary place and I met a guy who had some super quality amplifiers and filters and whatever, he had a studio-quality sound card for PC with modified "filter" something that he changed and soldered himself, the amplifiers and 3 different machines were all 30 year old but he said he got them so cheap compared to modern 10000 € stuff that's not better much only takes less watts to do the same thing, he shown me everything but I do not have photographic memory. I was there quite a few times and he shown me the difference between MP3's and FLACs and on and on, and it does make a huge difference actually.
The hardware equipment made the MP3s clear so you could actually hear how crap it was lol.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it extremely, for saving me nerves and time, as I would do it as well if I was an audio enthusiast helping someone like me now.
