Fraternity needs YOUR help!

Hey guys,

So my fraternity finally got a house last year, and our current setup is pretty awful, 2 Sony - 8" 3-Way Floorstanding Speakers ($160), with a Pioneer - 550W 5.1-Ch. 3D Pass Through A/V Home Theater Receiver ($230)... the speakers are crap, the receiver shuts off if we turn it too loud. granted were a small fraternity and our main party room is probably 12 ft by 20ft plus the hallway to the bar and whatnot, anyways I digress... I've been to some other fraternities and see how they have PA speakers, mixers, amps, ect. I'm the VP of my house, and we have an upcoming blacklight/highligher party and we need a new system. Anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm open to anything, I only have car audio knowledge so home audio isnt really my forte. Any help or suggestions of a specific setup would be fantastic.

I have the cerwin vega VE12F run by an older onkyo tr-sx503 (130w p/c) and they CRANK. im actually looking for a more powerful amp. the onkyo never cuts out either, i think its on a suicide mission judging by the temp it reaches (80 degerees celcius once after a few hours at epic volume)

Your Onkyo is 75wpc @8ohm.

It does not have pre-outs for an amp.
