After a harsh brutal winter in this neck of the woods, we have had four glorious days. It has been a little above the freezing point, which is good for lakes country at this time of year.
I took down the Christmas lights this afternoon. On the South and West facing balconies the sun really had some heat. The sky was cloudless with a slight high haze, and not a breath of wind.
The bubbling brook on my neighbors property was flowing fast and reminded of Beethoven's Pastoral symphony and the bubbling brook in the woods.
However
payment is now due!
By evening the clouds were already rolling in, for tonight's snow. It looks like over a foot of snow for the two events scheduled for the next three days. Then it will go to 10 below zero, and only get to 3 above zero on Wednesday for the snow clear up. Cold winter gear on the JD Model A for sure.
The Red River Valley looks set for another severe flood season. At least I moved out of the Valley last June.
