I forgot that one. The Blockbuster near my house has a fairly substantial selection. Maybe I'll rent a few others to see if they're purchase worthy. I'll definately get the must-haves like Band of Brothers, ... Iwo Jima, Saving Private Ryan. I'd like to get Nemo as well. I actually really liked that flick.

I promised my neighbor we'd watch Iron Man when I get the player, so that's first. I'm off to find deals!

What's the deal with your outlaw sub? I've heard nothing but great things about them. I toyed with the idea of getting two more subs for the rear of the room, but I think I'm getting more than enough with the subs in my towers. It pretty deep and tight and while it could be better (when can it ever not be?) I don't feel like I'm really missing out.

From here, it's a new remote. I'm definately gonna grab the URC 450 and one of the basestations (not sure which one to get as of yet). Once I get that done, I'll be happy for awhile.

Well up until this movie I have been relatively happy with it. There were about 4 scenes that caused it to bottom out. The noise was not good. I was not even near reference volume although it was loud. I just don't think it has the extension that is necessary for those frequencies at high spl's. I'm keeping an eye on what Warp and Andrew are doing and after Greg gets his I'm going to make a move.

Good choice on the going with URC on the remote. I now have two URC remotes. An MX-810 for the theater and a MX-850 for the bedroom. They are a bit more complex to program over a harmony but much better quality construction and functionality. I have not looked at the 450 I'll have to check it out.

In terms of excellent PQ/SQ, I'd say Incredible Hulk, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, & Hellboy.

I would lower the expectations on Transformers. Iron Man & Blade Runner were both good, but I didn't think they were reference quality. Althought pretty good, expect Godfather Trilogy BDs' PQ/SQ to be less than Blade Runner.

I tell ya, I really liked Iron Man. Movies like that I'm just really looking to take a break from life for awhile. The last 6 months have been brutal for the finance industry and it's been quite the roller coaster. Any time I can just "check out" for a couple of hours is just pure gold these days.

I'm quite certain that in a year or two we'll some really phenomenal players come through. Every generation seems to get it dialed in more and more and both PQ and SQ seem to be improving over last generation models, so when the time is right, I'll spend some bigger dollars on a top end player. It'll be just like DVD, every room will soon have one so I know the Sony will have a home.
