I am new here and need help in deciding on upgrading my stereo system to home theatre and at the same time improving the sound of the classical music. Does anyone have any info on the following: Fosgate Audionics FAP T1 pre/pro and FAA1000.5 amplifier? They both get a great review in the January 2004 issue of Home Theater Magazine. Thanks for any advice.

I have the Fosgate pre-pro for about a month now and am very satisfied. Above all, the sound is clean, there is no thumping which has been described with other units. The appearance is uncluttered and I find the mini-monitor useful. Only quibble is the remote. Changing input sources is rather cumbersome. Some of the codes could not be learned by my universal remote.

Fosgate will soon release the replacement for the FAP T1, the FAP T1+. They will offer a trade in program to the owners of the FAP T1.
