For sale, are (4) NHT A1 power amplifiers, all in excellent condition. I purchased these directly from NHT, for use in my home audio system, used in a bi-amping scenario (also works well for bi-wiring), with an Integra RDC-7 pre-amp (also for sale). These are in very good condition, sound great, will drive nearly any speaker, and have been housed in an audio cabinet, in a smoke-free home. They were not rack mounted, but I do have the rack ears for them. There are some marks on one amp on the top casing, but very minimal. I do not have the original boxes, but have the owners manual.

These can also be rack mounted to use in a Pro Sound environment for mains/subs or monitor power, in just 4 rack spaces.

The NHT A1 is rated at 250W RMS into 6 ohms and can easily run down to 4 ohms with stability.

I am offering all (4) amps for $500.00, or will sell individually for $150.00 each. Will include the (4) XLR cables and "Y" cords with the purchase of the four amp package. I am happy to send high res images for anyone interested.

Thanks for looking!

Product Information

The A1 is a full-frequency (20Hz - 20kHz), 250 watt monaural amplifier built into a slender, space-saving 1.75 high chassis. Because this design supplies power on demand, it runs cooler than many other types of amplifiers.

The A-1 is a workhorse amplifier designed for a number of applications. It is a full range amplifier useful for powering subwoofers, bi-amping large speakers or used in conjunction with a good preamp. FR: 20Hz – 20kHz. Power Rating: 250W (6 ohms).
DIM/WT: 2.25”H x 17”W x 11”D, 18 lbs.

Specifications

The NHT A1 has both balanced and unbalanced I/O and is low-profile, only a single rack space. The NHT A1's hybrid Class AB/G design runs cooler and is more efficient than traditional amps. The NHT A1 amplifier is rack mountable using the optional NHT E-1 19" EIA rack mount kit. The NHT A-1's is a full-range amplifier having a minimum frequency response from 20Hz – 20kHz. The NHT A1 is rated at 250W rms into 6 ohms and can easily run down to 4 ohms with stability. The A1 features a proprietary soft-clipping circuit, particularly important for use with subwoofer systems. The NHT A-1 can be auto powered on or off via a 12-24 volt trigger, or by an audio signal sensing circuit.

Does your price(s) includes shipping or is shipping extra?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Shipping would be extra. I will work with you on this (split costs?) though.

I'm new to selling on Audioholics frankly, although I've been an observer for many years. I am used to selling on Reverb.com, and have this ad posted there as well. Their policy is to add $75.00 for shipping, which I've found to be about right for the majority of things I've sold (guitars, amps, some hi-fi gear).

Let me know if you need any more info (high res photos, etc.).

Thanks,

Edward

Hello,

If they are still available, I am interested in buying your four NHT A1 amplifiers.

What would be the total cost including shipping to my business address in Southfield, MI 48076?

Sincerely,
Shawn

Hello Shawn,

They are still available. I have one other buyer that asked me the same question yesterday, and I've not had time to estimate the costs of shipping and get back to him yet.

Let me get the shipping costs to your zip code. I would ship UPS, as I have an acct. with them.

My rough estimate would around $50-$60 for ground. I would ship in (2) of the original NHT A1 boxes, which I was able to located after posting.

I'll hit you back by EOD day today, but if you want, I'd be happy to absorb anything above $40.00.

I could ship as early as tomorrow, if w're using PayPal.

Thank you,

Bill

Hi Shawn,

Received your PayPal payment. Thank you.

Printing labels now, and will take to UPS either later today or first thing in the morning.

Is it OK to include your cell # (the one you called me on) on the label?

I will get you the UPS tracking tomorrow, and will include an invoice in one of the two packages.

All the best,

Bill

Hey Bill,

Including my cell phone on the shipping label is fine.

Thanks for the prompt attention to this matter.

Hi Shawn,

The tracking #'s for the (2) boxes are:

K134 224 7222
K134 224 7259

Shipped via UPS Ground on my UPS acct. Will know the exact freight charges when this shows up (after UPS pickup I presume). Will certainly credit you anything less than the $82.30 allotted.

Thanks again!

Bill

Hey Bill,

At ups.com, I see by their tracking numbers that the amps have been dropped off and are now at a UPS store. I'll check again tomorrow to see if an expected delivery date has been set. Thank you for quickly shipping these amps. I look forward to putting them to good use.

Sincerely,
Shawn

Hey Shawn,

Quick question. I assume you've sold here before. I just went to the ad to remove it, and I can't for the life of me find where to delete this posting.

Any help would be appreciated. I just posted another ad (Integra RDC-7). That is easy.

Thanks

Bill

Hey Bill,

I have not sold gear on this forum before. Your gear is the first that I have purchased here.

I hope this helps regarding your question above; I found the following response when I googled "Audioholics Home Theater Forums how to delete a classified ad":

You generally don't delete the thread, but assuming its not locked (and assuming you're talking about your XV15 thread, it's not) you can still go back in and say the item has been sold. If you don't want anyone else posting in it afterwards, I can lock it for you.

Sincerely,
Shawn

Shawn,

Pretty strange that all past sales would remain on the forum, but then this site is not a commerce site per se. I cannot even go in and edit the original ad(post), to show SOLD!, so perhaps you could you please lock the thread. Sorry to burden you with that. It's not your problem.

Thx
Bill

Hey Bill,

I think you could ask a moderator on the forum about how to enable you to edit the original post by adding "SOLD!".

Also, a moderator on the forum might be able to lock this thread for you, but, as a relatively new user here, I do not have the rights that would be required to lock this thread.

Sincerely,
Shawn

I agree that putting SOLD in the title would be best, but as you noted, the classified section is kind of an afterthought here.
Usually the two of you are texting or emailing or PMing one another and the thread just falls into obscurity!
Anyone interesting in buying the amps would see that they were sold.
