I want to locate my center channel speaker behind the center of my screen
or at least ear level.
I am interested in knowing more about speakers mounted this way. I have about 5 inches of space to work with between screen and concrete wall..

feedback appreciated, I am looking at mythos three's at the present time...

If the speaker is behind a screen, make sure you have an acoustically transparent screen designed for such a purpose.
Otherwise, a comprimise in speaker location above or below the screen (or both) will result in better audio quality.

Also, make sure that your center channel will tonally match the front speakers. The easiest way to achieve this is to buy a speaker from the same manufacturer and same line as the fronts.

I have nht speakers, and their center models are too deep to go behind my screen....
as far as sound transparancy, I really don't know if my screen fits that bill or not...
is a da-lite fixed mount..
couldn't you just up the volumn some on a reg screen...?
I'll contiue to research the situation...

thanks for the reply
