floor standing speaker..

Looking for a speaker set and with a good floor standing front? Also, floor standing are the best right?

You'll get better recommendations if you give us some more detials. Price range, use (HT/Music %), sub included, room size ect. Floor standing isn't necessarily better. Depends on your use among other things.

To give you a place to start, look into the Infinity Primus line. I had a complete set for my first HT that I replaced earlier this year. They are good speakers for the price and you can improve them with some modifications. I'd avoid their subs though. The subs are fairly "muddy" in my book.

If you have enough cash, but the cheap ones are generally not that great. The lowest one to buy is the Primus P362

Of course. The ceiling-hanging ones may cause you to bump your head!

Though now that I think about it: perhaps you should repost with things like budget, and room size, and what you want them to do. Also: try to avoid words like "best".

You should also look into Axiom.
I recently received my custom M60 v2 and they are excellent speakers for the $$. The customer service is top notch too.
