I’ve been reading though the reviews of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and from the lack of extras, where some have been revamped from earlier laserdisc editions, well that’s the impression I’m getting some really lack extras for such a BIG HEADED format that can hold more and you the poor ole sausage consumer is getting less?
Well I’m now split between the two formats I was putting hope on HD-DVD but it would appear Blu-Ray as just realised an Oscar nominated best sound effects editing classic. “Flatliners” (1990) realised exclusively in 70mm six-track Dolby stereo SR and CDS “Cinema Digital Sound” which only lasted a brief time.
For awhile Columbia had reissued the film over and over again on DVD, I was kinder hoping they’d produce a six-track Dolby version. No matter the version I have still sounds great deep low end when called for thou the use of discrete channels gives it more freedom to move around and louder dialogue range. Oh well. If the push comes shove at the end of day looks like Blu-Ray, and now if you’d excuse me I want to throw up
!
Please let the format war end soon I can’t stand the strain of this!
